In this episode:

  • The burden of disease is high and there is a huge number of patients undiagnosed
  • The outcomes are terrible, 1 to 5 years worse than cancers
  • The biggest opportunity is in primary care for GPs to try and identify these patients. The easiest way is to listen to the heart and any abnormality, the patient should be referred to the heart team or cardiologist
