1 in 4 pregnant women experience early pregnancy bleeding (also known as threatened miscarriage), with the initial presentation often occurring in general practice. New research has determined that micronised vaginal progesterone has been shown to reduce the risk of miscarriage in women with early pregnancy bleeding and a history of previous miscarriages. In this presentation, Prof William Ledger will explain the latest evidence on the role of progesterone including the when, why, how and for whom.
