A/Prof Margaret Arstall is the Director of Cardiology at the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NAHLN) since 2007. She is also an Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide. Margaret is an academic cardiologist and has numerous roles in research, clinical and teaching settings.

Her academic training includes medical studies and PhD with the University of Adelaide. She trained as a cardiologist at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. As a Heart Foundation Ralph Reader Overseas Research Fellow (1996-1999), an RACP JJ Billings Overseas Research Scholar (1996) and Thomas W Smith Research Scholar (1997), she was able to continue post-doctoral research at Harvard University before returning to TQEH in Adelaide as a cardiologist and clinical academic. She then accepted the role of Director of Cardiology at NALHN.
Dr David Lowinger is a leading Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon with expertise in ENT care for children and adults. He has been a longstanding VMO ENT Surgeon at Sydney Children’s Hospital, and St Luke’s Hospital, with a private practice in Bondi Junction. Dr Lowinger has authored numerous articles in national and international peer reviewed medical journals and has presented nationally and internationally. He is actively involved in ENT specialist training and medical student teaching at the University of New South Wales and frequently presents ENT update courses to General Practitioners, Paediatricians and other specialists. Dr Lowinger’s practice in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs has a referral base from all areas of NSW and has a reputation for compassionate conservative patient care, surgical expertise and outstanding service and availability to practitioners.
Dr Rowena Mobbs is Senior Lecturer, Department of Clinical Medicine at Macquarie University, subspecialist in cognitive neurology. She is a leading clinician in concussion, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and dementia services. Rowena is highly committed to the integration of multidisciplinary care and research translation within teaching and mentoring programs. Dr Mobbs champions a patient-centred approach as well as community advocacy for those living with dementia.
Professor Gayle Fischer is a clinical and academic dermatologist with an interest in paediatric and gynaecological dermatology. She is Professor of Dermatology at the Northern Clinical School of The University of Sydney and Head of the Department of Dermatology at the Royal North Shore Hospital. She currently also heads the research division of this department. She has been the chief examiner and Dean of Education of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. A/Prof Fischer is currently Head of Research at the Skin Hospital, Darlinghurst.

Dr Murray is a paediatrician at Children’s Private Medical Group, Epworth Richmond (Lennox St consulting suites) and Blackburn Specialist Centre in Melbourne. Michaela is also a VMO at Mitcham Private Hospital.
Michael Jackson is the Polio Australia Clinical Health Educator. His spent a decade practicing physiotherapy in a multi-setting rehabilitation hospital after an eight-year career in education. He was the Centre Coordinator for Clinical Education and a Lead Therapist at his facility. In his training he assisted at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Centre Polio Clinic, in Downey California, and has maintained an interest in polio survivors since.

Michael delivers information on post-polio health conditions to health professionals across Australia in a workshop format, to health and medical professionals in hospitals and community clinics. He is co-author of a mid-2020 MedicSA article with rehabilitation and post-polio specialist Dr Nigel Quadros, and reviewed the content of the RACGP endorsed brochure and online GP module on Late Effects of Polio prior to their publication in 2020. In partnership with University of New England researchers, he is finalising a systematic review and meta-analysis on the effect of exercise on polio survivors.
Peter is a general paediatrician and paediatric immunologist who is currently Head of the Department of Immunology at Perth Children’s Hospital and Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Western Australia. He leads the Vaccine Trials Group at Telethon Kids Institute who undertake clinical trials, epidemiological and laboratory research in infectious disease with the aim of improving the health of the population locally, nationally and globally.
Dr Guy Moeneclaey headed the flowcytometry and histochemistry lab of the AZN (Belgium) prior to becoming Clinical Development Manager at CellPro NV (Belgium). Leaving CellPro, Guy joined Miltenyi Biotec GmbH (Germany) as Senior Medical Scientific Manager and became the driving force behind the formation of the Medical Development Team, shaping its strategic direction and visibility. Guy joined Nohla as Research Manager, overviewing its Australian Research Activities. Currently, Guy is heading the Cord Blood Expansion program at the Hudson Institute for Medical Research (Monash), focused on enhancing expression of paracrine factors. Guy joined Cell Care in May 2017 as Scientific and Product Development Manager.
Prof Chee Ng completed his medical degree (MBBS), Master of Medicine in Psychiatry and Doctor of Medicine in cross-cultural psychopharmacology at The University of Melbourne. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 1998. He has considerable research experience in psychopharmacology, pharmacogenetics, mood and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, old age, and cross cultural psychiatry. Psychiatry Journal. He previously led the Asia-Pacific Community Mental Health Development Project involving 18 Asia-Pacific countries. He also served as international mental health consultant for WHO, the Commonwealth of Nations and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and worked on national projects in Asia Pacific countries. He is currently a steering committee member of the APEC Mental Health Digital Hub and President-Elect of the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists.
Tania Sorrell is the Director of the Marie Bashir Institute for Infectious Diseases and Biosecurity and Professor of Clinical Infectious Diseases at the University of Sydney, and a Senior Physician in Infectious Diseases at Westmead Hospital. She has longstanding interests in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Infectious Diseases, especially in immune-compromised hosts, and in the emergence of resistant microorganisms. Her research in the serious fungal infection, cryptococcosis, has provided new insights into host-microbial interactions and resulted in a new antifungal drug development program.
