Dr Mendelsohn is the Foundation Chairman of the Australian Tobacco Harm Reduction Association, a health promotion charity established to raise awareness of less harmful alternatives to smoking tobacco, www.athra.org.au. Colin is a member of the committee that develops the RACGP national smoking cessation guidelines.
Dr Cindy Mak is a breast cancer surgeon and the Director of Breast Services at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She completed her surgical training in Sydney and at the Edinburgh Breast Unit. Cindy is the current chair of the Oncoplastic Subcommittee of BreastSurgANZ, the national society for breast surgeons.
Dr Karen Magraith BMBS FRACGP studied in Adelaide and worked in Darwin and Adelaide before moving to Hobart in 2007. She has a longstanding interest in women’s health, especially menopause, and enjoys teaching medical students and GP registrars. Karen recognises that most menopause medicine occurs in general practice, where the GP is in a unique position to manage the medical gynaecological and psychosocial issues in an integrated way.
