Description

Be it coeliac disease or gluten intolerance, overcoming the challenges of diagnosis and gluten avoidance is key to effective management.
Increasingly, it appears, people are avoiding gluten in an attempt to alleviate abdominal symptoms such as bloating and pain. In this webcast, Prof Finlay Macrae will present an update on what the guidelines recommend in terms of diagnosing coeliac disease and gluten sensitivity. In addition, he will outline a practical approach to the management of these conditions that will include tips to overcoming common challenges patients face when trying to adopt a gluten-free diet as well as advice on what to do for patients whose abdominal symptoms don’t resolve with dietary measures.
