Healthed webcasts are a valuable educational platform, allowing viewers to gain up-to-date clinical knowledge through an easy, time-efficient format. Our free online seminars fill a huge unmet need amongst GPs outside of the major cities for quality, accessible education. Each webcast features four lectures and runs for two hours. While the majority of viewers are GPs, our webcasts are relevant for healthcare professionals including pharmacists and nurses.

In this talk, Dr Victoria Hayes will explain how to effectively communicate to patients that unfunded vaccines represent a worthwhile investment in health. In addition, she will suggest how to create effective practice systems to improve vaccine uptake.
Age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataract are three of the most common eye conditions encountered in general practice. In this talk, ophthalmologist Dr Richard Symes will provide a very valuable update on the latest understanding and treatments for these prevalent eye disorders, as well as outlining possible future treatments including potential options for dry macular degeneration.
Recently-released RACGP guidelines on osteoporosis management highlight the importance of identifying those at high risk of fracture. As rheumatologist, Dr Peter Wong explains in this talk, those at high risk of fracture may be eligible for new anabolic treatments for osteoporosis so they need to be identified. In addition, the guidelines have updated recommendations on calcium and vitamin D supplementation, and what to do when ceasing an osteoporosis treatment.
